Low Calorie Thandai Recipe

If you are aware of thandai and are planning to prepare it in home, you are at the right place. We would help you prepare low calorie thnadai at your home with easily available ingredients. Read to know more about it.

Preparation Time: 45 minutes

Ingredients:
  1. 1 cup- low fat milk
  2. 1 ½ liter water
  3. 1 ½ cups sugar substitute
  4. 1 table spoon almonds 
  5. 1 table spoon melon seeds
  6. 2 table spoons poppy seeds
  7. 1 table spoon whole peppercorns 
  8. 2 table spoons aniseed
  9. ½ table spoon cardamom powder
  10. 1 tablespoon gulkand
Instructions:
  1. Wash and clean well all ingredients except sugar and cardamom. Keep extra attention in cleaning for your health.
  2. After you are done with cleaning, soak sugar in half a liter of water. Then, keep it aside.
  3. Keep all soaked ingredients for a minimum of 2 hours
  4. Then, go for grinding all ingredients except sugar to fine paste. It works wonders if you use a stone grinder. After that, add the remaining water to the paste.
  5. Strain the mixture through a muslin cloth or a very fine strainer.
  6. After you have strained the mixture, add milk, sugar- water and rose water to the extracted liquid.
  7. If you are using cardamom powder, mix it well with milk.
  8. You are done. Before you serve, make sure you mix it well before letting it het chilled.
